About Us

Family Law Settlements

Also known as ADR, Alternative Dispute Resolution is an increasingly popular method of resolving family law disputes in the UK. Alternative Dispute Resolution is a process in which a couple is assisted by a lawyer mediator: a trained family mediator who is also a qualified family lawyer.

At Stowe Family Law Settlements, the Alternative Dispute Resolution process brings mediation and family law expertise together. Our friendly, plain-speaking lawyer mediators will sit down with you and your former partner and discuss the likely outcome of your case if it did go to court. They will help both of you to find a solution that suits everyone and will also help to draw up a formal agreement that can be incorporated into an order. This innovative form of Alternative Dispute Resolution, which requires a co-operative approach from everyone involved, resolves family disputes without the need for aggressive, expensive and time-consuming court proceedings. See 10 Good Reasons for further information about the benefits of the Alternative Dispute Resolution service at Family Law Settlements.

Our Alternative Dispute Resolution service is complemented by the experience and expertise of our team. All our mediators are also partners at Stowe Family Law: one of the UK’s largest specialist family law firms. Our lawyer mediators include members of Resolution and all our lawyer mediators are trained in family mediation.
